Spring Break

Spring Break is always a time the family looks forward to. We try to plan a trip of some sort because it's so hard during the summer when the hub's work is in overdrive. We decided about 6 months ago to go on a Disney Cruise. We were lucky enough to have some friends to go on the same one with us.

To be honest, I was a little worried about Mickey overload but, we really enjoyed it.

The kids were pretty darn impressed when we walked into the boat and they announced our name. It's like we were superstars.

We checked out the beautiful boat, had lunch and then the fun begins.

The kids had a great time at the slides and pool.
The adults relaxed and chilled while waiting to set sail.

One of my favorite things about a Disney cruise is the fact that you get to rotate dining rooms. Your staff stays with you but each night you are in a different room with a different theme. This night was was a New Orleans theme with bread pudding (my fav) and a Mardi Gras parade.

After dinner, the shows are a MUST SEE!

Castaway Cay
I cannot say enough about Disney's private island. We could have just come here both stops and I would have been a happy camper.

Look at the gorgeous water.

As with everything Disney does, this island is first rate. It was clean and beautiful with plenty of places for the adults to chill while the kids play.

Water slides, snorkeling, swim with the dolphins...you name it. I think we may have been the last people to load the boat when it was time to leave. We wanted to stay so bad!

Next stop.....Nassau.

So... not our favorite stop of all times but the kiddos had never been so we opted to walk around a bit and go to the public beach rather than an excursion. We figured the boat had enough to do on it, if we got bored, we would just head back to the boat.

The kids had a great time swimming in the water but when the pile of college "spring breakers" came, we decided to find something else to do. (You can imagine why? LOL)

We walked some more but after stumbling across a dead rat and decayed chicken,(yuk) we decided it was probably time for us to head back.

And then I can't forget to mention Pirate Night.
Too fun! You should defintely take part.

We had a great time with our friends and family and the kids can't wait to go back!
