NOLA

The Big Easy: I've been to New Orleans multiple times but the history, culture and food never gets old. There's always something new to experience and see. This visit included a fun time with some friends that we always enjoy traveling with. It was the perfect combination of good friends, great food and a wonderful time.

Jackson Square is always a must stop. Sundays are a great day to visit. Mass was just finished as we were strolling the square. It was so fun to see the jazz bands, the local artists and the "unique" visitors.

Of course, a must do when visiting this side of town is a visit at Cafe DuMonde. There is no other coffe like Chicory coffee. Combine that with a powdered covered beignet and oh. my. word.
Warning: Don't breathe in when biting a beignet. (cough cough)

Pro Tip: Get there early or wait till later. The line is always very long.

Bourbon Street has multiple personalities. Take the time during the day to stroll and see the beautiful architure. I love all of the iron work and detail that make the buildings and homes unique.
If you dare to go at night, be prepared for all sorts. It is a party scene like no other. I wouldn't suggest taking your kiddos.

There's music around every corner and it's quite amazing how talented they all are.

Pat O Brien's is another famous tourist attraction but one I do suggest. The piano bar is a place where I could stay literally all night. These pianists can play anything...and I mean anything.
And in case you didn't already know, Pat O'Brien's is famous for their Hurricanes.
Warning: Drink only one unless you're very brave.

World War II Museum: This is the first time I have ever been to the WW2 Museum. I was shocked how much we all enjoyed it. It is done so well and we could have spent the whole day if we had the time. I highly suggest you put this in your schedule. You will not regret it.

Ruby Red Slipper: If you like brunch, then this is your place. The eggs benedict is amazing and the menu has tons of unique things to choose from. But, the highlight is the bloody mary. The original is delicious but do not doubt the yummy factor of the bacon infused bloody mary. There's no words. Yummy!

I could go on and on about all the food options but I really think NOLA is a place that you could pretty much walk in anywhere and not be disappointed.

There are many luxury hotels and boutique hotels to choose from when staying in New Orleans as well.
Who's ready to go?
Now....time to head back home to Lifeon312!
Till the next trip..........

Nash Vegas and Mars

We had a full weekend and covered quite a few miles!
But, boy, did we have fun!
We stayed up  what felt like DAYS past my bedtime. I think I may be paying for this sleep deprivation still in November. But, it was so worth it.
We started the weekend with a victory under the lights Friday night. Yay!
Go Gators!

We shopped for furniture Saturday and came across this amazing store.
Man, how I wish we had one of these back home.

Celebrated a beautiful wedding with some good friends Saturday night.

After the reception, we drove to Nashville. We listened to our Auburn Tigers get their tails whipped on the drive. So, after we checked in and met our friends, we went to drown our sorrows. I still can't believe it but we acutally went out when we got there. It was already my bedtime when we started. Ha!
But...we had the BEST time and listened to some amazing bands. We started at midtown and then finished it off on Broadway. Each time I go to Nashville, I forget how busy this place is.  I swear it's getting more and more popular.

Of course, we slept in and then went to have brunch at Party Fowl.
Since the wait was so long, we decided to have a cup of brew at the cutest little vintage coffee shop.
And one of the best lattes I have had in a very long time. I'm still craving one.
Then, time to grub. These people know how to fry some chicken. Oh my word!
 Hot Chicken

The rain came when it was time to leave so we decided to check out some of the places on Broadway we had not made it to that night. Luke Bryan's, Jason Aldean's and Blake Sheltons places were so nice and everyone of them had the best bands playing.

We could have listened to them all night long but, the real reason we came was getting close so we had to go get ready.

BRUNO MARS!

"Put your pinky fingers to the MOON!"
IT WAS AMAZING! SERIOUSLY.....AHHHHHmazing!
The only complaint is that it went by way too fast.
We hit the strip again and stayed up way too late ... again but it was all worth it.
We finished the weekend off with a yummy BBQ meal at Puckett's grocery.
Nashville is always great but Bruno and good friends just make it that much better!
